What is WVSR 1360- Radio/TV/News? WVSR, Internet and AM/FM digital
streaming, is a public broadcasting, company, an independent education
broadcasting service radio and television station serving Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania, United States that is licensed to Philadelphia
Pennsylvania. Owned by VAN STONE PRODUCTIONS FOUNDATION, Inc., it is
sister to Philadelphia Front Page News, FPN, media activated by Black
Philadelphian professionals primarily concerned about Black
Philadelphians and beyond.
WVSR is a Black-American radio station
online that runs music and publishes general interest topics that are
relevant to Black American readers.
WVSR provides news coverage
on happenings among Black families all over the U.S.—in entertainment,
politics, sports, social events as well as features on unusual
personalities, places and events.
From the upstart, WVSR promotes the beauty of Black women and men.
Like the James Bond Girls, Van Stone has local, national and international female models becoming a Van Stone Girl.
The females represent beauty and fashion that promote Van Stone
positive image themes. The girls (children, youngsters and adults) are
completely confident, lovely, and love promote inner and outer beauty.
The Van Stone Girls frequent venues- sporting events, concerts and
various places, etc. where supports can enjoy the presence of positive
Black image.
Van Stone Black Women Models, and (Black Men
Models), has absolutely nothing to do with human skin-tone. All models,
regardless of race, ethnicity or culture promote the Van Stone view of
the symbolism of Black- all things positive.
Many females, who
are both White and Black, participate in the Van Stone Black Women
Models concept- The woman, especially any Black woman, is the top
natural beauty, second to no man, in the world of Van Stone!

West Philadelphia Van
Stone Radio Station “Philadelphia Internet Education Radio Station” WVSR
1360.1 AM, was founded in 2003 as Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s first
located Internet education television station and radio station, a Black
American programming that allows viewers to watch television and listen
to the radio over the Internet.
The radio station can be listened to live visiting its licensed radio station links -“Philly Funk Radio”- at
www.fpnwvsr.org.
The radio station location originally began at 5029 Walnut Street. It
was a low powered licensed radio station with a listening radio radius
limited to the West Philly area and the center city Philly areas. It’s
second station location was moved to the tower high-rise project
building of the West Park neighborhood which is at 46th and Market
Street and 43rd Street and Market Street and Powelton Avenue. The
listening radio radius expanded from there to all areas of Philadelphia
including the Northeast Philly areas.
Currently WVSR no longer
uses radio frequency that can be picked up by a car antenna or radio/TV
antenna. WVSR uses AM/FM radio frequency that can be picked up by
Internet connection, streaming broadcasting locally, nationally and
internationally.
The Philadelphia Front Page News (previously the
Van Stone's Digest ) is an American newspaper, headquartered in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Published online daily, it was created in
2000 by Samuel Van Stone Downing. The Philadelphia Front Page News also
publishes the WVSR-AM Newsletter for its readers, viewers, and
listeners.
The Front Page News has a readership of about 90,000
and is mostly read by people living in the Camden, New Jersey, Delaware
County, Wilmington, Delaware, Chester, Pennsylvania, Bucks County, New
York City, Jersey City, California, Harrisburg, Hopewell, Virginia,
Philadelphia, as well as the Rhode Island area.
